Our Eighth Project

The Weavers Way Coop’s Mt Airy store has a property across the street called the Mercantile Building. It is home to the Nesting House which sells really nice used baby stuff.
The building has a flat roof and will support a solar array with 60 panels for a system size of 35.1 kW. The Clean Energy Co-op and Weavers Way Coop are moving forward with this project. Installation in progress!!!

Weavers Way is a cooperatively owned food market open to the public. Thanks to the dedication of their members throughout the years, a tiny buying club started by a few Mt. Airy neighbors in 1973 has evolved into a multi-store co-op serving more than 11,000 member households and their neighbors.
