To sustainably develop renewable energy resources for a healthy and just energy future for our community, using local investment and providing positive returns to its members.
We believe its time to transition to renewable, clean energy. And we're ready to lead the way with local demonstration projects, putting our wallets to work. If you're as excited about sustainable energy as we are, thenjoin us, to invest in our local community and our future!
We are excited to announce TWO Clean Energy projects will be moving forward in 2019: The Clean Energy Co-op will be working with the Wayne County government to install a solar array on the roof of the Stourbridge Projectbuilding on Park St. in Honesdale, and also with Von Oeclsher Farms LLC for a ground-mount solar array on that farm in Damascus. Our very first solar project at the Cooperage in Honesdale was nationally recognized by the Interstate Renewable Energy Council as the BEST 2016 Community Renewables Project!! The project was completed in December 2015 with the help of a USDA REAP grant and 23 of our members funding the construction! The system is generating 100% of the electricity used by the building's tenants annually. Learn more about the 3iAwards here and about our project by clicking here!
Our community is Wayne and Pike counties of northeast Pennsylvania. But we're just getting started!
