The Solar PV system includes 90 solar panels (27.45 kilowatts in total) and should produce 100% or more of the annual electrical use in the building.
Our private fund raising campaign was a huge success, with more committed funds than needed for this project. We hope to have another project underway by next spring (see more about that here).
We hired Buselli Solutions, a local family-owned and NABCEP-certified contractor to design, install and commission the system. Construction started on November 16, and was completed on December 7.
PPL Utilities approved the system on December 10th, and the system has been in commercial operations since December 17th, 2015.

The layout has 90 panels, each rated at 305 watts, with allowances for the roof hatch, the HVAC system elements, as well as the chimney in the southwest corner.
The mounting uses the DynoRaxx system of ballast buckets (or trays), to provide a 10 degree tilt and the necessary spacing (to avoid self-shading), and requires no roof penetrations! Made in Buffalo NY!
